Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your data. Last updated: 22 October 2026.

1. Information We Collect

  • User Data: Discord User ID, server IDs where the Bot is used, and other identifiers required for functionality.
  • Bot Interactions: Commands you use, logs of interactions for debugging and service improvements.
  • Support Requests: If you contact us for support, we may collect additional details to resolve your issue.
  • Moderation Data: When a server's admins switch on Auto-Mod, the Bot reads message text to check it against that server's rules. If a rule is broken, the Bot records a warning (the member, the channel, the reason, points) and a short excerpt of the message, up to about 300 characters, so staff can review the decision. See section 5.
  • Additional Data: We collect and store limited user data necessary for the Bot's functionality, including Discord User IDs, gamertags, commands run on game servers, game server logs, and payment-related metadata where applicable.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and improve Bot functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with terms of service and prevent abuse.
  • Debug issues and enhance security.
  • Respond to user support requests.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve performance and user experience.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data.

  • Legal Compliance: If required by law or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.
  • Security & Abuse Prevention: If necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, or malicious activity.
  • NON PII Sharing: We may share anonymized or aggregated data with third parties for analytics, service improvements, or research, ensuring it cannot identify individuals.

4. Data Storage and Security

User data is stored securely and access is restricted to authorized personnel only. We use industry-standard security measures to protect against unauthorized access or breaches.

While we take security seriously, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and users acknowledge the inherent risks of using online services.

5. Message Content (Auto-Mod)

The Bot uses Discord's Message Content intent only for Auto-Mod, which a server's admins choose to switch on in their own server. Message text is checked against the admin's rules (such as banned words, invite and link posting, spam, excessive capitals and mass mentions) at the moment it is sent.

  • Message text is not used for advertising, profiling or analytics, and is not sold or shared.
  • Message text is never used to train machine-learning or AI models.
  • If a rule is broken, only a short excerpt (up to about 300 characters) is stored with the warning record. The excerpt is cleared after 30 days; the warning itself (points and case number) is kept for the retention period in section 6.
  • Edited and deleted messages shown in a server's staff log are held in the Bot's memory for about 30 minutes and are not stored in a database.
  • Admins decide which Auto-Mod rules run in their server. There is no per-member opt-out; members who do not want their messages checked can leave the server.

6. Data Retention

We retain user data only as long as necessary for functionality, security, and legal compliance. For example, a linked gamertag is kept until the player unlinks it or asks us to delete it, and Auto-Mod activity history is deleted automatically after the period set by the server's admins (30 days by default). Activity logs related to security and moderation may be reviewed periodically to prevent abuse. Certain logs may be retained longer to investigate fraud, abuse, or security threats.

7. Third Party Services

The Bot may interact with Discord's API and third-party payment processors, which have their own privacy policies. Some integrations may process data in different jurisdictions, and their handling of data is subject to their respective privacy policies.

RustyWorks RCE is not responsible for how third parties handle user data.

8. Compliance By Law

We comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws where we operate. If required by law, we may share data with government authorities or law enforcement agencies in compliance with legal obligations. Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Bot complies with their local laws and regulations.

9. Deleting Your Data

You can ask us to delete the data we hold about you at any time. Open a ticket in our support server and tell us what you want removed. We typically process deletion requests within 48 hours. You can also remove your own gamertag link at any time with the Unlink Account button or the /user unlink command.
